Elder, Disability, and Guardianship Law Section
The mission of the Elder, Disability and Guardianship Law Section of the Bar Association of Frederick County is to support local practicing elder disability, guardianship law attorneys by providing mentoring, education and information, Legislative updates panel discussions, speakers and other training opportunities. Elder, Disability Guardianship Law Section will be holding bi-monthly meetings. Membership is only $25.00 every two (2) years in addition to the regular Bar Association of Frederick County membership dues.

- Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 12:00p, Section Meeting at Brewer’s Alley. Michael Powell, Esquire will be joining us to speak about being an Orphans’ Court Judge. He will share what brought him to run for Frederick County’s Orphans’ Court and what common, fixable problems he has seen during his term thus far.
- Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 12:00p, Section Meeting: Location: to be announced. Gabriela Vasco, Realtor, Realty Advantage, will be joining us to speak about selling homes in guardianship cases. Gabriela also happens to be Robert McCarty’s paralegal so she is very experienced in guardianship cases.
